Important Announcements  (15 August 2014)

1.     Those authors who have requested extensions for submission of papers, need to submit the papers asap so that they can be sent for peer review 

2.   Those authors who submitted after 15th July, paper reviews are still going on. We will inform you asap of your acceptance.  

3.   Deadline for submission of camera ready papers has been extended until 22nd August (check out Important Dates page). 

2.   Reminder to all authors who have had papers and poster presentations accepted you must have at least one author registered for the conference. Have you got your registration forms in and sent your registration fee. Please send asap.  

3.  International participants will require a letter of invitation to the conference to get a visa to enter Australia. Please contact conference conveners to arrange this letter. Please arrange your visa asap, as it may take some time to get the visa. 

4. There is some low cost accommodation available at the Student Village accommodation on campus. Please contact Dr Armstrong to arrange a reservation for this accommodation. 

5.  Global Forum on Agricultural Research and UN Food and Agriculture Organization will run a one day forum at AFITA 2014 conference.Please participate in the pre conference eDiscussion “Forward Thinking for ICT use in Asian Agri-food Chains”   To participate please register at: http://www.ciard.netand subscribe to  http://www.ciard.net/community/working-groups/e-discussion-asian-agri-food-chains

6.  There will be some small bursaries for international students and other participants at the discretion of the AFITA 2014 conference conveners.  Please contact Dr Leisa Armstrong for more information on these matters.

 

 

 

Announcements

1)  Check out the new  Online Student Forum event that will run during the conference for international postgraduate students who may not be able to  make it to Perth for the conference.  

2) Online Student Participants can now register for online participation in AFITA 2014 for a discounted fee. Other students attending the conference will also receive a discounted registration and opportunity to apply for travel subsidy.  More details can be found on the Conference Registration page
